We expect the Hero9 Black<\/a> to follow along those lines and surprisingly, the camera truly packs major upgrades that may prompt you to upgrade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The introduction of the front-facing screen is a timely move since we have seen this implementation by competitive brands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Akaso Brave 7 LE<\/a>, Campark V40, and DJI Osmo Action all rock a secondary screen located at the front of the camera just like the Hero9 Black.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GoPro has featured a front status screen for quite some time now, it was good to have it but a front display is a worthy replacement for that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The other major upgrade that has been made is improved video pixels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can now shoot videos with a maximum resolution of 5K<\/strong> whereas the Hero8 Black only managed 4K resolution on maximum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GoPro has introduced HyperSmooth 3.0 to the Hero9 Black. We already know how good HyperSmooth 2.0 was, I expect the camera to perform even better with this improvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lens on the Hero9 Black is now detachable, this will enable users to store the lens in a safer place when the camera is not in use, or replace it if it breaks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GoPro says that the battery life of the Hero9 Black is now better by 30% from the previous model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
